Typographic Campaign
[THE OBSERVATION]
Universities often refrain from verbalising their political stances but these stances are apparent through the way they treat their students who participate in peaceful protests. Visual language has always existed in our right to activism. The fluctuation of variable fonts can convey this tension.
[THE HEADLINES]
This typographic campaign is built using a bespoke typeface created by taking one letter from protest banners at 26 universities across the UK. The typeface is featured in a banner displaying a text-based map of the country that demonstrates where these protests took place.
[THE VARIABLE FONT]
Bringing light to these actions in necessary through our words and type. Using variable font technology, this campaign features a spin on Helvetica Now Variable - Helvetica, Now With Freedom.
